The ShipperConnect Yard Management solution helps shippers handle workflow planning, tracking, and management for their entire operation.

ShipperConnect YMS is completely interfaced with RMI’s bill of lading solution (e-BOL). e-BOL provides rail and intermodal shippers with the ability to enter and electronically transmit bills of lading to their serving railroads. The system is internet-based and utilizes industry standard EDI transaction sets so that a shipper can forward a bill of lading to any railroad using one common interface.

Truck Yard Management offers operational management of the in/out gate process and supports handling of trailers, containers, chassis, and vehicles for inbound/outbound equipment staging. This module also coordinates loading functions with transportation plan schedules to help plan daily work for maximum productivity.

Rail Yard Management provides a graphical display of the rail yard, which greatly simplifies managing rail car inventory. Shippers can use this system to handle all aspects of rail car control from receipt to car selection for loading/unloading to outbound processing.

Because Rail Yard Management interfaces with connecting rail carriers, it can provide notification of inbound rail cars with associated ETAs. The module also allows users to search for and assign cars to outbound shipment orders based on car characteristics, pool assignment, or last commodity.

Rail Yard Management includes AEI capabilities that allow shippers to use fixed or handheld readers to record rail movements, create work lists, and improve work planning.
