Bolt-On Maps

The RailDOCS Bolt-On Maps capability allows you to identify your assets and track their maintenance graphically. We use Bolt-On Maps to provide user-friendly mapping interfaces inside of RailDOCS, and we also offer Bolt-on Maps to customers and business partners for integration into their own web-based systems.

Using the mapping feature, you can identify the location of each asset, and categorize it with custom pins representing the asset type and status. The maps are interactive and give you more detailed data and navigation options in a pop-up as you select the asset.

Bolt-On Maps is invaluable in helping you to see your operation graphically, and, at a glance, identify proactively which assets need attention.

This example demonstrates several Bolt-on-Maps features. The locations of each asset are illustrated with custom pins, including the type (icons) and status of each asset (colors). In this example, the user has clicked on the green pin representing a railroad signal case at milepost 3-298.07, and is viewing more detailed data about that asset in the popup.

Another feature of this application is the navigation hierarchy shown in the top-left of the image. This user navigated down to this level in this map by selecting values in the following levels: Division (Chicago) – Sub-Division (N. Lacrosse Yard) – Signal Maintainer (Larry Olsen). This view shows all of the assets maintained by Mr. Olson.
