For railroad’s that participate in full interline settlements the RailConnect® Revenue Management Services provide the right tools to protect revenue, improve cash flow, and reduce administrative overhead.

RMS is a sophisticated revenue management system that has been certified by the AAR for Interline Settlement System (ISS) processing.  RMS provides complex rating logic, EDI management, security levels, work queue assignments, freight billing, revenue protection, and much more.

RMS employs a robust rating system that uses REN shipment conditions and other variable rate selection tools to ensure automated rating.  RMS was designed to process waybills through the Interline Settlement System with as little manual intervention as possible. Fully automatic rating of waybills in RMS is greater than 90% for most users, and the system generates either printed or standard EDI Freight Bills.  RMS is fully compatible with REN, and an automated REN Interface is available.

The Trial Balance module tracks interline waybills throughout their active status from estimated revenue to actual settlement providing a tools to track interline revenue between you and other rail carriers, while the Cash Application module provides an Accounts Receivable system to account for the payment of freight bills, switch bills, junction settlements, or any other invoices generated by other RailConnect® systems.
